Our last raffle just concluded, and two lucky people were the recipients of the first prize John Deere riding mower, and the second prize $250 Lowes gift card. At our last Member Luncheon on August 26th, we drew the names of the two winners – Please congratulate Candy and Bert Veldhuizen (Dutchworks) - they won the John Deere mower. And also congratulate Charlie Tweedy (Careers Worldwide) who won the second prize Lowes gift card.

Congratulations to these folks for their participation, and another big thank you needs to go to everyone who helped with this raffle.  As you know, all proceeds from the SE Weld Chamber’s raffles go into our scholarship account. This money is then used to give college scholarships to one or more seniors who are graduating from Weld Central High School. Your continued support is what makes this program possible!

Winner of our third raffle this year, James and his wife Marcia are excited to be the winners.  James stated to Marcia, he wants to get a hot tub, going to Indian Hot Springs will be a wonderful vacation.  

James and Marcia just celebrated their first wedding anniversary in Sept.

Congratulations to Kevin Willard for holding the winning raffle ticket for the 2nd chamber raffle of a 44 Desert Eagle Magnum Hand Gun.  Matt Cole from Red Neck Tractor, Truck and Firearms of Hudson, CO handled the background requirements. SE Weld County Chamber limited the raffle tickets to 150, all tickets were sold out within 6 days at lightning speed.  
 
Funds from the Raffle support the chamber scholarship program which provides a scholarship to a student at Weld Central High School going to college for a business degree with the career path of starting a business in the future.

The first ever South East Weld Chamber of Commerce raffle has come to a close, and we are happy to announce the winner of this great fundraising event!

Amanda Francisco of Keenesburg, CO was the holder of the lucky ticket which one her the vintage mantle clock being raffled off.

Amanda was one of dozens of ticket holders that work at The Wild Animal Sanctuary, and she was stunned to hear she was the lucky winner.

The Chamber's Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who purchased a raffle ticket, as the proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Chamber's educational scholarship fund.   

The Chamber would also like to thank Ken Gfeller and his business, A Step Back In Time, for their help in securing this beautiful raffle item.

This wonderful commemorative antique clock made by the Ingraham Clock Co. of Bristol,
CT in 1899 features Consul-General Fitzhugh Lee. Former Coneferate Major-General Lee was
the consul-general of the United States to Havana, Cuba at the outbreak of the Spanish-American War in 1898. During the war he commanded the 7th Army Corps. Lee was the nephew of General Robert E. Lee and was also the 40th Governor of Virginia.


The clock has an eight-day time and strike brass movement with Roman numerals, gilt tablet with eagle in flight with crossed flags and arms. The case is pressed oak in original finish with top having a central uniformed shoulder length portrait of Gen. Lee, flanked by stacked cannon balls and crossed flags. Lower wings with field cannon have U.S. flag and skirt with alternating stars and anchors. It is 15” wide, 5” deep, and 23” high and it has a key.
